In its seventh edition, the Association of Spanish Groups of Early Music has presented its Awards for Creativity and Innovation in Early Music.
Capella de Ministrers thanks GEMA for their involvement in the dissemination of our musical heritage and the award that has been granted to us, and congratulates all Spanish ensembles of early music, especially those who have received the finalist award.
A special tribute to the recently deceased Alicia Lázaro with her Honorary Award, musicologist, researcher, director of the Capilla de Música Jerónimo de Carrión, and former president of GEMA, for the immensely important role she played in the collective from its inception and for her work in the recovery, research, and dissemination of music from Spanish cathedral archives, as well as for her pioneering initiative in Spain to incorporate historical scores into theatrical performances.
