It spans more than 1000 years of music, written down or transmitted by oral tradition, from the Middle Ages to the end of the 18th century. While some of the composers of these eras, for instance Johann Sebastian Bach, Claudio Monteverdi, or Hildegard von Bingen, are widely known, there is a large repertoire still to be rediscovered by today\u2019s audiences. The European Day of Early Music aims to increase awareness of the music from the medieval, renaissance and baroque periods and bring it to the attention of a wider audience.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desde su creaci\u00f3n el a\u00f1o 1987, el grupo Capella de Ministrers, bajo la direcci\u00f3n de Carles Magraner, ha desarrollado una importante tarea investigadora y musicol\u00f3gica en favor del patrimonio musical espa\u00f1ol, desde el medioevo hasta el siglo XIX. El resultado, transformado en testimonio musical, conjuga a la perfecci\u00f3n tres factores clave: el rigor hist\u00f3rico, la sensibilidad musical y, muy especialmente, un incontenible deseo de comunicarnos y hacernos part\u00edcipes de estas experiencias. La actividad concert\u00edstica de la formaci\u00f3n ha sido muy intensa desde el inicio de su actividad, recorriendo las mejores salas de m\u00fasica de Espa\u00f1a y el extranjero con m\u00e1s de 45 discos grabados.&nbsp;Capella de Ministrers es tambi\u00e9n impulsora del Curso y Festival de M\u00fasica Renacentista de Morella, en el que se presenta este a\u00f1o la tercera edici\u00f3n de esta iniciativa, tomando como punto de partida la celebraci\u00f3n del 600 aniversario del Concilio de Constanza.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En torno a ello se desarrollar\u00e1n tambi\u00e9n el resto de actividades que como cada mes de julio se llevan a cabo en la capital dels Ports: exposici\u00f3n de instrumentos de \u00e9poca, conferencias a cargo de especialistas (que profundizar\u00e1n este a\u00f1o en los fundamentos de la relaci\u00f3n y repercusi\u00f3n hist\u00f3rica de San Vicente Ferrer y el Papa Luna) y los elementos musicales de la Edad Media y el Renacimiento. Destaca en esta edici\u00f3n la inclusi\u00f3n de un seminario de m\u00fasica tradicional y su vinculaci\u00f3n con la Renacentista y Medieval, donde se incorporan especialistas en instrumentos y melod\u00edas del Mediterr\u00e1neo y de tradici\u00f3n oral.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El Cant de la Sibil.la Valenciana se recuper\u00f3 en 2012 en la Seo de Valencia desde la iniciativa de Capella de Ministrers y la participaci\u00f3n de diversas entidades p\u00fablicas y privadas valencianas. De las muchas versiones que se conservan del Canto de la Sibila se restaur\u00f3 la versi\u00f3n valenciana, tomada de la Consueta de la Catedral de Valencia de 1527 y con las influencias que sobre ella ejerci\u00f3 la tradici\u00f3n toledana y sus vinculaciones con la mallorquina, declarada en 2010 por la UNESCO Patrimonio Inmaterial de la Humanidad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bajo los auspicios de la UNESCO Valencia\/Mediterr\u00e1neo se postula, con la firma de este convenio, una colaboraci\u00f3n con Capella de Ministrers con el objeto de defender y divulgar, dentro de sus respectivas competencias, los principios de la UNESCO, as\u00ed como el de formar a personas plenamente responsables y libres, sensibles a los problemas culturales y sociales, y comprometidas con una idea de progreso basada en la educaci\u00f3n, la libertad, la justicia y la tolerancia. Especialmente se postula la idea de la recuperaci\u00f3n y difusi\u00f3n de nuestro rico y variado patrimonio cultural Mediterr\u00e1neo: la m\u00fasica como integradora, junto al arte y la historia, bienes de educaci\u00f3n social, sin discriminaci\u00f3n alguna, abiertas a todas aquellas culturas que a trav\u00e9s del pasado han conformado nuestras tradiciones y el conjunto de nuestro patrimonio cultural, en el que la m\u00fasica hist\u00f3rica conforma, desde sus singularidades, un punto de encuentro entre el pasado y el presente, donde convergen los valores promulgados desde la UNESCO.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La recuperaci\u00f3n de este patrimonio intangible, la propagaci\u00f3n del legado hist\u00f3rico cultural y la divulgaci\u00f3n de los nuevos valores patrimoniales ser\u00e1n plausibles y auspiciados por UNESCO Valencia\/Mediterr\u00e1neo en la tarea de restauraci\u00f3n musical de Capella de Ministrers, la representaci\u00f3n anual del Cant de la Sibil.la Valenciana y la actividad acad\u00e9mica que se realiza cada verano en el Curso Internacional de M\u00fasica Medieval y Renacentista de Morella.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>On 21 March 2013, REMA organised for the first time the European Day for Early Music<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong><\/strong>Early music is a central part of the cultural heritage shared by Europeans, closely connected with other artistic expressions such as dance, theatre, and architecture.
