Amors e Cansó
Troubadours of the Crown of Aragon. Troubadours were artists from the period spanning from the end of the 11th century to the end of the 13th century who were able to create the lyrics and music of their songs. The first troubadour known by name was Guillaume IX, Duke of Aquitaine, and the last one is estimated to be Guiraut Riquier (†1292), who was at the service of Alfonso X the Wise, among others. This recording includes works by Raimon de Miraval, Berenguer de Palou, Ponç d’Ortafà, Matieu de Carsí, and the above-mentioned Riquier.
